Agriculture day for Class V was vastly educational! It’s always so great to visit and hear from Bejo Seeds USA in Oceano. Our day started with leadership development on Effective Communication by CultureStoke, followed by Tom Ikeda with Ikeda Brothers on farming in South County. Class V then headed to the SLO Farm Bureau and heard from Executive Director Paul Clark and Jean-Pierre Wolff of Wolff Vineyards.
Agriculture is a huge industry in our south county area and we are grateful to learn from a spectrum of providers and businesses!

We started the day with CultureStoke and some great insight on the rollercoaster of life. Don’t forget: “If you don’t ask for help, you deny others the opportunity and gift of being able to help.“ Our day followed with guest speakers from many different sectors including hotels, events, marketing and wine!
SLO New Times had a wonderful staff outing and lunch celebration party for release issue of Best of SLO County 2024. They also celebrated being awarded May 2024 South County Chambers of Commerce Business of the Month. Awesome job!
