THE WORLD IS OUR STAGE and MEANT TO BE SHARED!
In this world of technological advancements, we could easily lose our zeal and appreciation for face-to-face experiences that are MEANT TO BE SHARED. Social media has replaced many forms of social interactions. But most would agree that even the

GOODNESS GRACIOUS….
I could almost hear the words coming out of the mouth of the Kiwanis Club member as he was asked boldly and respectfully to pay a $10 fine to the Kangaroo Court Judge and reigning Club President Mike Britton. Apparently, it is an unofficial crime to have one’s phone ring when a guest is delivering a presentation.

UNBRIDLED ENTHUSIASM
This poetic sentiment is how I would describe my encounter with Caprice Arkell, co-owner of the spectacular Varian Equestrian Center located at 1275 Corbett Canyon Rd, Arroyo Grande, Ca. 93420. Simon and Caprice Arkell purchased this sprawling beautiful 200-acre horse ranch in the summer of 2023 after serendipitously viewing it on the Zillow site.

However, it is when I had the pleasure of being welcomed into their art gallery, simply named” The Gallery,” located at 213 E. Branch St. Arroyo Grande, Ca. 93420, that I truly witnessed their smiles light up the room. As I gazed around the gallery hall, with its vaulted ceilings and edgy architectural structures,

MISSION DRIVEN HEARTS
A sentiment that describes poignantly and profoundly the Community Health Centers (CHC) of our Central Coast. As I walked through the doors of the health center located at 2120 Cienega St., Oceano, Ca., I was greeted with warm genuine smiles and a sense of authentic compassion that emanated from each staff member. Instantly I could see that those who serve at CHC are truly DRIVEN by their HEARTS.
2024 Leadership South County Class V – June Recap
Agriculture day for Class V was vastly educational! It’s always so great to visit and hear from Bejo Seeds USA in Oceano. Our day started with leadership development on Effective Communication by CultureStoke, followed by Tom Ikeda with Ikeda Brothers on farming in South County. Class V then headed to the SLO Farm Bureau and heard from Executive Director Paul Clark and Jean-Pierre Wolff of Wolff Vineyards.
Agriculture is a huge industry in our south county area and we are grateful to learn from a spectrum of providers and businesses!

As the 4th of July is fast approaching our commerce world is gearing up for the anticipated tourism revenue that it will bring. 😊 We are very grateful to those who choose to spend their holiday season with us here on the central coast. It is also a day that we celebrate the independence of the UNITED States of America.
